Il ristorante Yellow TreeHouse, situato a nord dell’Auckland (Nuova Zelanda), una straordinaria prodezza architettonica arroccata su di una sequoia, si trova quasi 10m di larghezza e più di 12m alto, con la scissione piano livello seduta 10m dal suolo.

Il progetto è stato sviluppato dal Pacific Enviroments Architects Ltd (PEL).

The Yellow TreeHouse Restaurant, placed in notrh of Auckland (New Zealand), is a stunning architectural feat perched high above a redwood, sits almost 10m wide and over 12m high, with the split-level floor sitting 10m off the ground.

La buena cocina es una aspecto importante a la hora de elegir un restaurante, pero lo cierto es que a mí al menos, tanto como al sabor de sus platos le doy importancia a el diseño y al lugar donde esté situado, por eso no os podía dejar de hablar de este nuevo restaurante en Nueva Zelanda.

Aún no puedo hablaros de sus platos, pero estoy segura de que estarán a la altura de su arquitectura y su diseño.

Il concept della casa sull’albero è una reminiscenza dei sogni e del tempo dei giochi d’infanzia, fiabe di magia e fantasia”, dice il PEL. “é la casa sull’albero che tutti noi abbiamo sognato da bambini, ma che si poteva avverare solo in una fantasia d’adulti.” Il progetto è davvero magico, situato su un’altura vicino alle rive di un bosco che si affacciano su di un ruscello. Le diciotto sedie del bar – cucina e bagni sono a terra – è sicuro diventa un successo, ma le domande sulla sostenibilità restano. Le capriate in legno costituiscono la struttura principale. Le alette curvate sono dei lamellari di pino, una piantagione di pioppi è stata utilizzata per le stecche e le sequoie lavorate dal sito sono state utilizzate nella balaustra della passerella. Le aperture sono state formate per le finestre, lasciando spazi tra le lamelle/alette che mantengono la forma complessiva ma offrono una varietà di aperture per luce e visuale, e di chiusura verso la parte posteriore. Per allentare la regolarità degli elementi, l’acciaio è avvolto arbitrariamente su tutte le scanalature. Legandolo fino in cima così che la base risulta avere un senso di maggiore collegamento con l’albero. E’ stato progettato per essere resistente agli agenti atmosferici. L’illuminazione è una componente importante dell’architettura al fine di migliorare e cambiare l’umore, con un’illuminazione discreta all’interno del passaggio e di un’alta illuminazione all’interno della casa sull’albero.
E’ stato costruito in 66 giorni, come parte di un progetto di marketing per la Yellow Pages. I commensali entrano nella capanna attraversando una passerella di 60 metri. Per 125$, ottengono un pasto di tre portate e un bicchiere di spumante. Il ristorante è aperto anche all’ora di pranzo, a 95$ a testa, ma le prenotazioni saranno annullate in caso di pioggia o venti troppo elevati. Gli ospiti saranno ospitati dal volto della campagna della Yellow Pages, Tracey Collins. La valanga di richieste di prenotazione che hanno, ha suggerito che la stagione d’apertura potrebbe venir prorogata.

The tree-house concept is reminiscent of childhood dreams and playtime, fairy stories of enchantment and imagination, says PEL. It’s the treehouse we all dreamed of as children but could only do as an adult fantasy. The project is indeed magical, located on a rise near the edge of a wood overlooking a stream. The eighteen seat cafe with kitchen and lavatories on the ground is sure to be a hit, but sustainability questions remain. Timber trusses form the main structure. The curved fins are glue-laminated pine, plantation poplar has been used for the slats and redwood milled from the site used in the walkway balustrading. Openings are formed for windows by leaving spaces between the slats/fins that keeps the overall form yet affords a variety of openness for the views and light and closes down toward the rear. To loosen the regularity of the elements, steel is wrapped arbitrarily around the pod. Tying this up at the top and base has a sense of greater connection with the tree.
It is designed to be weather resistant. Lighting is an important architectural component enhancing and changing the mood, with discreet lighting within the walkway and up-lighting within the tree house. It was created in 66 days as part of a marketing project for the Yellow Pages.
Diners enter the hut over a 60m walkway. For 125$, they get a three-course meal and a glass of bubbly. The resturant is also open at lunch time, at 95$ a head, but bookings will be cancelled if it rains or winds are too high. Guest will be hosted by the face of the Yellow Pages capaign, Tracey Collins. The avalanche of booking requests they have, suggested that the season of open might be extended.
Un diseño verde, creación de Pacific Environments Architects que te llevará a cenar o comer a 10 metros de altura, sobre un árbol. Una experiencia realmente novedosa, al menos lo sería para mí.

El restaurante no sólo se ha preocupado de su diseño, como no podía ser de otra manera también de no perturbar el lugar donde se sitúa, siendo lo más respetuoso posible. Por eso tiene un diseño que me recuerda a un gran nido de pájaros, pequeño y acogedor, mide sólo 60 metros, en los que tiene capacidad sólo para 18 personas.
